The BBC reporting that Ireland’s Joe Schmidt is aiming to guide the 2014 and 2015 Six Nations champions to their first World Cup semi-final but Ben Kay says the Kiwi is taking a calculated gamble with his team’s preparations.

Kay went on to say

“Joe Schmidt is tactically one of the best coaches in the world though and always brings the best out of the squad,”

Meanwhile, the captain of New Zealand Richie McCaw is not expected to make any announcement over his retirement and international future until after the 1st of November.

And the news goes on as the momentum builds up over the week.

For us here in Thailand some of the games will be available on local broadcast TV but possibly in the Thai language so where can you watch all the games?

Do you have good memories of previous World Cup Rugby matches?

Sam Warburton was sent off in the 2011 Semi-final or what about 1999 when Jannie de Beer wasn’t South Africa’s first choice fly-half.

However, due to an injury, Henry Honiball couldn’t play and Jannie had his chance which he maximised as he went on to kick five drop goals in the quarter-final game against England scoring 34 points.

All great memories and no doubt cherished by many.

A number of bars and pubs will no doubt have most of the games and one such venue is Serenity Resort and Residences in Rawai (see the flyer) for full details.

I am led to believe that drinks will be reasonably priced and all games will be on the big screen.

Phuket Island Radio on 91.5 and 102.5FM will have regular World Cup Rugby updates and reports and in conjunction with our broadcast partner BBC, there will be daily live updates available throughout Phuket and on our online streams with iPhone/Apple and Google Play/Android.

Enjoy the 2015 Rugby World Cup tournament, and stay tuned for more updates.
