Libby D finalist-Australian Radio Awards
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Phuket Island Radio Breakfast host Libby D is thrilled to be a finalist at the 2016 Australian Commercial Radio Awards for the second time in a row.
Libby D came to Phuket from Bathurst, Australia, where she hosted the B-Rock FM Morning Show with co-host Benny Hope. Last year, the team submitted a nomination for Best Sales Promotion in Country, which they won at the event on the Gold Coast Australia.
This year’s finalist is for the Best Station Promotion, which Libby executed along with Benny Hope and Leilani Vakaahi from the Bathurst team. The station held a competition to find Bathurst’s Bicentennial Bride. A group of Bathurst businesses got together and the station awarded one lucky bride to be a $17,000 bridal package.

Libby is up against some serious competition in order to win, including Metro Station teams, Kyle & Jackie O and Jonesy and Amanda. The event will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday the 8th of October.
The Australian Commercial Radio Awards or ACRA’s have been recognizing outstanding achievements in the radio industry since 1989.
The awards encompass all areas of radio broadcasting, including news, talk, sport, music, and entertainment.
33 categories are peer judged across metropolitan, provincial, and country divisions.
