Sunday morning was full of DISCtraction for over 4 years when our good friend Tony Kelsey Stead was the presenter.
Sadly Tony is now spinning his discs and no doubt lots of Status Quo hits in heaven RIP Tony.
ONE OF Phuket’s most popular expats, Tony Kelsey-Stead, died in London on Tuesday 20th April 2010, aged 58, after losing a battle with acute adult myeloid leukemia.
The music we choose depends a lot on our personalities, characters, likes and dislikes, age, where we were educated and so on. A lot of factors influence our choice of this or that band.
DISCtraction delivers a two hour Sunday morning show packed with a variety of genres, styles and popular hits from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s right through to now.
Retro music is very much HIP and Phuket Island Radio has a number of dedicated shows including Replay and We Love Disco. DISCtraction is a retro aged style show, whilst the word RETRO has a Latin meaning of ‘backwards’ or ‘times gone by’, the music played within the 91.5 & 102.5 FM show has a nostalgic feel with an eye to past memories.
Rock and Roll, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, disco music, Motown, dance music, oldies are all here for you, the online radio listener and Phuket Thailand listeners on 91.5 & 102.5 FM within Phuket Island.
Phuket Radio DJ’s select each weeks playlist, featuring artists such as The Beach Boys, Wham, The Bee Gees, the Beatles, Rod Stewart, Elton John, REO Speedwagon, Queen, Status Quo, INXS, U2, Oasis, Madonna and many more.
DISCtraction has been replaced as a mark of respect to Tony with the Retro Radio Show on a Monday evening on 91.5 and 102.5 FM and online free internet radio. We’re non stop music with world-recognized presenters – find out more about them here.
