Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks will defend their Super Bowl title on Feb. 1 in Glendale, Ariz., having defeated the Green Bay Packers, 28-22, in the N.F.C. championship game on Sunday.

Seattle will play the winner of the Indianapolis-New England game played later Sunday.

In a matchup of the N.F.L.s highest-scoring offence and its stingiest defence, defence prevailed.

The Packers scored the first 16 points of Sunday’s game, with three Mason Crosby field goals and an Aaron Rodgers pass to Randall Cobb for a 13-yard touchdown, but struggled to pull away. Rodgers was intercepted twice, and Eddie Lacy was held to 73 yards on 21 carries.
